Kashmiris Gear Up To Celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day With Fervor
Preparations are in full swing across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Indian-occupied Kashmir to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day on August 14 with great enthusiasm and devotion
metropolis, where President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Prime Minister Chaudhry Ch. Anwar ul Haq will unfurl the national flags of Pakistan and AJK.
Similar ceremonies will be held at district and tehsil headquarters, with national flags hoisted atop private and public buildings.
Fireworks displays, colorful lights, and processions are also planned to mark the occasion.
The celebrations aim to renew the pledge to continue the struggle for freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from Indian subjugation and achieve the dream of accession to Pakistan.
The Commissioner of Mirpur Division, Ch. Shoukat, told APP that the celebrations will begin with a fireworks display at Quaid-e-Azam International sports Stadium Mirpur at midnight on August 13-14, followed by national flag-hoisting ceremonies across the region.
